The Virtual Way: 2021 video contest winner

The winning video entry for our 2021 media contest, Safety – The Virtual Way, was created by a team from Parkrose High School. It reminds us both how to prevent on-the-job injuries and about the top cause of workplace injuries among young workers. We particularly liked how the video demonstrated a work team engaging together as they discussed this topic. For video shows a virtual training session which we know has become common during the pandemic, and was necessary for following contest rules at the time of the making of this video.

O[yes] congratulates this team from Parkrose High, including Benny Osborn, Aida Najaf Abadi Nejad, Jacob Dyer, Wynter Crowder, and Imanuel Rehana. We applaud the team on the ingenuity they used to successfully craft a video during the pandemic while still addressing the contest theme. This video demonstrates how important it is for young workers to receive proper training about how to safely carry out their work tasks, but also the important role of organizations to connect with their workers.
