Join us at the 2023 Oregon Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Conference (GOSH). For nearly a decade, O[yes] has teamed up with the GOSH planning team and OSH professionals to create a full day, no-cost learning opportunity at GOSH. This year, the GOSH Student/Early Professional Day is scheduled for Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Oregon GOSH is the largest safety and health conference in the Northwest and one of the largest in the United States.
This event begins at 8:30 AM and concludes late afternoon with optional attendance at the evening American Society of Safety Professionals WISE (Women in Safety Excellence, open to safety supporters of all genders) event. GOSH is held at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. Parking and transportation are not covered, although this day at GOSH will be no-cost to those accepted and includes lunch. GOSH Student/Early Professional Day 2023 will be similar to the 2019 event and includes opportunities to attend the conference keynote and opening session, a panel session about roles and jobs in the field, conference sessions, informal lunch discussions with mentors, and the exhibit hall.
Priority is to Oregon and Washington students 18 or older pursuing education in public health or occupational safety and health (OSH), individuals working in the trades or in apprentice programs with an interest in occupational safety and health, and those interested in a career change into the environmental, health and safety path. We ask that you apply as soon as possible, but ideally no later than February 28.
