#KeepTeenWorkersSafe Campaign

O[yes] joins organizations around the country in a campaign to increase awareness and promote workplace safety and health resources for teen workers. During this campaign, you too can share information with other young workers, parents, teachers, and employers! This effort is part of a larger campaign to protect teen workers at their jobs year-round. The 2021 theme is “Keeping teen workers safe is everyone’s job!”

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Center for Construction and Research Training (CPWR) and National Safety Council join many other organizations in this effort.

Key campaign messages include:

  • Teen workers have rights
  • Every job has hazards
  • Speak up!

What can you do? Check out the #KeepWorkersSafe webpage for already prepared messages that you can share through your own social media channels. Messages like: “Approximately every 5 minutes a teen 15-19 went to the emergency room for a workplace injury” and “Teens have the same rights as other workers: a safe workplace, job safety training, needed…” You can even create your own.

Join us as we work to share the word on the importance of young worker safety, and identify things we can all do to keep each other safe.
